FIRST TORNADO SIREN I'VE HEARD SINCE SEVENTH GRADE
Rain was expected. And while it only last for about an hour, the surprising thing was hearing a tornado siren from nearby Hometown. We used to have tests every Tuesday morning at 10AM until just before I ended grade school. I assume more photos will be posted on Google and various social media later today.

ANIMAL MAN AS IT APPEARED THE MONTH I WAS HIT BY THE CAR, LOOK FAMILIAR?
So Grant Morrison's first real work fort DC was on a 26 issue run on ANIMAL MAN, a C-lister from a few STRANGE ADVENTURES comics in the 60s. The 30th Anniversary Book One edition came out a few weeks back, and, of course, 30 years is the anniversary of my getting hit by that car, as well. The run itself deconstructed the character, literally, and by the end,Animal knew he was a character in some other reality because he couldnm't possibly be the same guy from the 60s.
Anyhow, we have here the two covers for the current book and the release of the three trades, then the original trade from the 90s, and the best comic story every written, "The Coyote Gospel", ending with the cover of this issue that was on the stands when I was hit by the car. Me being torn apart. Everything connects. What happened happened.

BROTHER PREACHER MAN SAMUEL CHAMBERS 1979 and 2019
The desolate photo is where the entirety of Block 37 was, and much of the events in THE HOLY TERROR took place along that area on Randolph between State and Dearborn. The book set during the winter of 1989. The black and white photo found by happenstance when I was looking for old photos of Block 37. The man is still around, he's the character in my novel, his real name right here. This is the screed he hands out at his new spot at State and Madison. The new "BlockThirthSeven" wouldn't have him, that's for certain. They wouldn't have me, even. It isn't 1989 anymore.
